Terms of service
Effective October 7, 2026
These terms cover your use of this website. If you become a client, your dispatch service agreement with Routelane also applies, and it takes priority wherever the two differ.
1. What Routelane does
Routelane LLC provides dispatch services to motor carriers. We act on the carrier's behalf to find freight, negotiate rates and handle related paperwork. Routelane is not a freight broker, freight forwarder or motor carrier. We do not take possession of freight, we do not arrange transportation for shippers, and we do not collect or hold freight charges. Every load is booked under the carrier's own operating authority.
2. Carrier responsibilities
- Holding active operating authority and the insurance that brokers and the law require.
- Giving us accurate documents and telling us promptly when any of them change.
- Complying with all safety, hours-of-service, equipment and other regulations. The carrier and its drivers remain solely responsible for operating the truck.
- Deciding which loads to accept, and performing the loads that are accepted.
3. Fees
Dispatch is charged as a percentage of the gross amount of each load we book for you. The percentages shown on this site are our standard rates by equipment type. The fee for a load becomes due once you have been paid for that load. Your dispatch service agreement sets out the rate that applies to you and how it is paid. A compliance check is a separate, optional service at the price shown on this site. It is a review of your records and is not legal advice or a guarantee that you will pass an inspection or audit.
4. No guarantee of freight or earnings
Freight availability and rates depend on the market. Routelane does not guarantee any number of loads, any rate per mile or any level of revenue. The estimator on this site is an illustration based on published national averages. It is not an offer, a quote or a promise of earnings.
5. Market data
Spot rate figures are national averages published by DAT Freight & Analytics, and diesel prices are published by the U.S. Energy Information Administration. We show them with their dates for general information. They may be out of date by the time you read them, and you should not rely on them for business decisions.
6. Third-party names
Names of load boards, freight brokerages and other companies are trademarks of their owners. They are used on this site only to describe the marketplaces and companies that carriers work with. Routelane is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them, and a carrier's approval by any broker is that broker's decision.
7. Routelane TMS
The TMS sign-in page is for registered Routelane dispatchers. You may not attempt to access it unless you have been given an account by Routelane.
8. Using this website
You may use this site to learn about and contact Routelane. You may not misuse it, interfere with how it works, attempt to access restricted areas, or copy its content, illustrations or design for commercial use without our written permission.
9. Disclaimers and limits of liability
This website is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Routelane is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of this website, and our total liability for any claim relating to the website is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars. Liability relating to dispatch services is governed by your dispatch service agreement.
10. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms by posting a new version here with a new effective date. Questions: routelanellc@gmail.com or +1 (828) 203-6854.
